AI Answer Competition Index
80.6/ 100
Currently ranked 32 among the 1,822 counties of at least 20,000 people, and 23 within our own 400-market set. Higher scores mean more established competitors per resident. How we work it out
We built this index around eleven categories where someone is likely to ask an assistant who to call (law, dental, medical, real estate, insurance, accounting, remodeling, plumbing and HVAC, roofing, electrical, auto repair). Each county of 20,000 or more residents gets a 0 to 100 score for how many established locations, with five or more employees, share its population. Arapahoe County scores 80.6, which is among the most crowded markets in the country.
Look past the headline number and two features of Arapahoe County emerge: it is a county with many established recommendation-category businesses for its size, and it is an affluent county. Each measure below places it among all counties.
Each percentile places Arapahoe County among the 1,822 counties of 20,000 or more residents, as the share of them with a lower value. Inputs: Census population estimates, the 2017 and 2022 County Business Patterns, income estimates from the Census Bureau and the Building Permits Survey.
Where people live
The largest places in Arapahoe County by resident count. For answer engine optimization (AEO) in Arapahoe County, the work is place by place: each service you offer can have content for each town you serve.
| City or town | Portion of the county | Residents in 2023 (estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Aurora (part) | 51% | 337,356 |
| Centennial | 16% | 106,883 |
| Littleton (part) | 6% | 41,611 |
| Englewood | 5% | 34,275 |
| Greenwood Village | 2% | 15,205 |
| Cherry Hills Village | 1% | 6,273 |
Population numbers come from Census Bureau estimates. A place can be a city, a town or a census-designated place, and a city shared with a neighboring county appears with just the Arapahoe County portion.
Reading the market
1,128 established businesses compete across the eleven categories we track in Arapahoe County, 17.2 per 10,000 people and a heavier load than in 92% of counties. Where a category is that busy, being merely present online is not enough; accurate listings, review signals and pages that answer local questions give an AI tool more to work with.
Two more details round out the picture. Median household income in Arapahoe County is $97,560, above 92% of counties. Arapahoe County has 8 communities above 2,500 residents, 5 of them above 10,000, more than 90% of counties.
For anyone weighing GEO services for Arapahoe County businesses, the crowd is the main fact: with this many established names an answer has plenty to choose from, and clear, consistent details do more work than volume.
Home to 656,061 people, Arapahoe County is the 109th largest of 3,143 U.S. counties, and its headcount has moved +0.2% since the 2020 Census. Employers operate 20,149 locations here across all industries, roughly 30.7 for every 1,000 residents.
The larger places in Arapahoe County are Aurora (337,356), Centennial (106,883), Littleton (41,611), Englewood (34,275) and Greenwood Village (15,205). Local questions tend to name a town, so a business serving several of them gains from content and consistent details for each. RankGuarantee™ landing pages, included in every Organic Growth plan, are how that content gets built at volume.
Outside any named place (a city, town or census-designated place) live 99,181 of Arapahoe County's residents (15%), and their questions often skip the town name entirely and ask for something "near me" instead.
Who shares the answer
Every row is one of the eleven recommendation categories: established locations (five or more employees) in Arapahoe County, how that compares with the typical county, how the category as a whole has changed since 2017, and how many locations are large employers.
Bars give each category's established locations (five or more employees) per 10,000 residents as a multiple of the middle county among those ranked; the dark tick is 1.0x. Change is measured on all locations in the category, not just established ones. Counts come from County Business Patterns (2017, 2022) and are no measure of AI mentions or search volume. How we calculate this
Law offices lead the field for crowding in Arapahoe County: 106 established locations, 2.2x a typical county, with the category as a whole up 5.2% since 2017. Real estate agents and brokers (30 established locations, 2.2x) and roofing contractors (22 established locations, 2.1x) follow, also denser than a typical county.
Real estate agents and brokers added the most new competition, 31.4% more locations of all sizes than in 2017 (782 now). Roofing contractors contracted by 6.5% since 2017, to 101 locations. For firm size, look at physicians offices: 72 locations employ 20 people or more.
A word of caution: this table counts businesses. It does not measure how often an assistant is asked about any category, which businesses it names, or how many people use one. A crowded category calls for careful preparation and a quiet one for early action, but neither is a forecast.

On the index, Cobb County, GA is Arapahoe County's nearest neighbor: 73.7 against 80.6. El Paso County, CO is the most different of the six, at 70.2. The mix of firm sizes differs too: 6.6% of Cobb County, GA's advice-led locations have 20 or more employees, against 5.3% here. A similar score means a comparable number of established competitors, not a comparable result.
New construction
Each bar counts housing units approved for construction. Source: Census Bureau Building Permits Survey, annual county files, with a same-months comparison for this year. An approval is not a completed home.
From a high of 5,519 units in 2021, approvals in Arapahoe County dropped to 3,625 in 2025, about 34% less, and the 2025 rate of 55.3 per 10,000 residents is above 77% of counties. Through the first eight months of 2026, 2,260 units were approved against 2,938 in the same months of 2025 (-23.1%).
The construction-linked categories with the most established competitors in Arapahoe County are real estate agents and brokers (2.2x typical) and roofing contractors (2.1x typical). Permits show where new customers are coming from; GEO does not wait for them to arrive, and content for new homeowners is easier to publish before demand peaks.
What is in the work
Schema on your key pages
Key pages get FAQ, LocalBusiness and Review schema markup, so AI engines can read who you are, where you work in Arapahoe County and what you offer.
NAP across every listing
Conflicting listings are found and fixed, so your details read the same on Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and beyond.
Answers, not keywords
Content is written in a conversational tone, aimed at the local questions customers actually ask, focused on Arapahoe County and its neighboring areas.
What customers say
Review volume and sentiment both get read by AI engines, so reputation work is part of the plan.
Crawlable, fast, clean
Technical SEO keeps your site readable by search engines and AI tools, and it is the foundation the rest of the work stands on.
AI visibility reporting
Monthly tests across AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity feed a report covering knowledge panels, citations, AI visibility, platform traffic and local rankings.
GEO is delivered alongside SEO, Google Maps work and the website that comes with Gold and Platinum. If you need customers while this builds, our paid ads team manages Bing, Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) campaigns.
How it works
We check your address, name and phone details and your site information across Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and the other sources AI engines pull from, so they all agree.
We install schema markup on your key pages: LocalBusiness schema, FAQ schema and Review schema, so engines can read who you are, where you work and what you offer.
We produce local content in a conversational tone that answers the questions people ask about your services in your service area.
Each month we measure your visibility across Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and ChatGPT, then adjust the plan to the results. You see knowledge panels, citations, AI visibility, platform traffic and local rankings.
Fees
GEO is not sold on its own: it is included in every Organic Growth plan below. Every plan is month to month, with no setup fee and no contract. Talk to our CEO about the options.
Check the math
Whether GEO pays off for you depends on your own figures, not a market average. Enter what a customer is worth and the plan you are weighing to see how many new customers a month cover it.
Common questions
The short version: GEO is bundled into Organic Growth, not sold alone. It is part of Silver ($1,495 a month), Gold ($2,495) and Platinum ($3,495). Gold and Platinum also bring a custom-built website we host and maintain. Everything is month to month.
The work covers structured data on your key pages (LocalBusiness, FAQ and Review schema), consistent business details across Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and more, conversational hyper-local content, review and reputation work, technical SEO, and ongoing monitoring across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Reports cover knowledge panels, citations, AI visibility, platform traffic and local rankings.
Reviews are one of the inputs. Engines read how many reviews a business has and how positive they are, which is why reviews and reputation work sit alongside schema markup (including Review schema) and consistent business details in our plans.
GEO stands for generative engine optimization: preparing your online presence for AI engines like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Others use the term AEO, or answer engine optimization. These engines answer a question directly, pulling from structured data, business listings and trusted content. GEO is the next step beyond SEO and complements it; it does not replace it.
They are two separate things. Some ChatGPT users on the Free and lower-priced plans now see labeled, sponsored ads that advertisers buy in a self-serve Ads Manager, with targeting by country and context. The ads do not affect the answers, and measuring them is still maturing. GEO is the unpaid work of keeping your information accurate and easy to use.
According to the index, Arapahoe County is more crowded than most counties: it scores 80.6, which is 32nd out of 1,822 counties of 20,000 or more people and 23rd of our 400 markets. The busiest category is law offices, at 2.2x a typical county. The score describes the number of established competitors; what engines do with them is beyond what public data can show.
We cannot promise that, and neither can anyone else. No one controls what an AI engine says. Our work is to make what engines can find about you accurate, consistent and well structured, and over time engines gather, validate and favor consistent information. There is no timeframe to quote; we check Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT every month and report what we see.
There is nothing to sign and no setup fee. Pricing is flat and month to month, and we take only one business per category per city.
Whichever you serve. Arapahoe County has 8 places of 2,500 or more residents, led by Aurora, Centennial, Littleton, Englewood and Greenwood Village. The GEO content is hyper-local, and RankGuarantee™ landing pages (25 a month on Silver, 50 on Gold and 100 on Platinum) give each service its own page in each place you cover.
