Market snapshot
AI Answer Competition Index
69.8/ 100
Ranked 233 among the 1,822 counties of at least 20,000 people, and 150 within our own 400-market set. More established businesses per resident push the score up. How the score is built
Think of the index as a headcount of established competition, those with five or more employees, in eleven recommendation categories, for each 10,000 residents and compared across every county of 20,000 or more people. The categories are law, dental, medical, real estate, insurance, accounting, remodeling, plumbing and HVAC, roofing, electrical and auto repair. Tarrant County scores 69.8, which is more crowded than most.
Look past the headline number and two features of Tarrant County emerge: it is a county made up of many sizeable towns, and it is a county where larger firms, those with 20 or more employees, hold an outsized share of advice-led locations. Below, every measure is set against the full list of counties.
Each percentile places Tarrant County among the 1,822 counties of 20,000 or more residents, as the share of them with a lower value. Built from: Census Bureau population estimates, County Business Patterns for 2017 and 2022, SAIPE income estimates and the Building Permits Survey.
Reading the market
Many towns, many questions: Tarrant County counts 31 communities that clear 2,500 residents and 22 that clear 10,000, a bigger spread than 99% of counties offer. A plumber in Fort Worth and a plumber in the next town over are separate answers, so GEO for a business that serves several of them means local content and consistent details for each.
Two more details round out the picture. 7.5% of the advice-led locations in Tarrant County have 20 or more employees, more than in 92% of counties. Tarrant County authorized 63.4 new homes per 10,000 residents in 2025, more than 81% of counties.
When it comes to GEO in Tarrant County, think town by town: each place deserves its own local content and consistent details.
Size matters for context: 2,182,947 residents put Tarrant County 15th among 3,143 U.S. counties, and the population has changed +3.4% since the 2020 Census. All industries together have 46,946 employer locations, or 21.5 per 1,000 people.
Population by place
Population by place, from the Census Bureau's latest estimates. Local questions usually name a town, so each of these is a separate context, and work on answer engine optimization (AEO) in Tarrant County can be written for any of them.
| City or town | Percent of all county residents | People (2023 estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Fort Worth (part) | 44% | 958,409 |
| Arlington | 18% | 398,431 |
| Grand Prairie (part) | 3% | 73,976 |
| Mansfield (part) | 3% | 72,643 |
| North Richland Hills | 3% | 70,658 |
| Euless | 3% | 59,686 |
Figures are Census Bureau population estimates. Cities, towns and census-designated places all count as places, and a city that straddles a county line is shown for its Tarrant County part only.
Who else could be named
The eleven rows are the recommendation categories. Each shows established locations in Tarrant County and sets them against the median county, so 2.0x would mean twice the typical number per resident.
Bars give each category's established locations (five or more employees) per 10,000 residents as a multiple of the middle county among those ranked; the dark tick is 1.0x. Change is measured on all locations in the category, not just established ones. Source: Census County Business Patterns (2017, 2022), which says nothing about AI behavior or search volume. See the method
The busiest category in Tarrant County is roofing contractors, with 74 established locations at 2.2x the density of a typical county, with the category as a whole up 45.9% since 2017. More comparable names means more weight on the details that tell them apart. The next most crowded categories are physicians offices (792 established locations, 1.7x) and law offices (245 established locations, 1.5x). The lightest field belongs to accounting and CPA firms: 89 established locations, 0.8x the typical density, so an answer in that category has fewer names to weigh.
The fastest growth is in residential remodelers: locations of every size rose 64.4% since 2017, to 475, so new names keep appearing. Physicians offices contracted by 3.5% since 2017, to 1,694 locations. Larger firms cluster in physicians offices: 208 locations have 20 or more employees.
Remember what a count can and cannot say. It tells you how many established businesses are in each category. It says nothing about AI mentions, search volume or timing, and nobody can promise a mention in an AI answer.
Demand signal
The permits shown are authorizations for new housing units. Data: Building Permits Survey, county annual files, and a like-for-like year-to-date comparison. Approved units may not be built yet.
Permits peaked at 18,858 units in 2024 and came in at 13,847 in 2025, roughly 27% lower. Even so, 2025 equals 63.4 units for every 10,000 residents, which is above 81% of counties. Through the first eight months of 2026, 11,401 units were approved against 10,102 in the same months of 2025 (+12.9%).
Among businesses tied to building, roofing contractors (2.2x typical) and real estate agents and brokers (1.5x typical) are the most crowded in Tarrant County. New households arrive without providers they trust, and a business whose details already match across the places AI engines read is easier for them to find described.

The plans are flat monthly fees, which makes the payback arithmetic simple: what one new customer is worth to you, your margin and your close rate give the customers a month a plan has to deliver.

What customers say
AI engines scan review volume and sentiment, so we help you earn and answer reviews on a steady schedule.
SEO underneath
The groundwork is technical SEO: pages that load, can be crawled and carry the structure the rest of GEO adds to.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews
Each month we test your visibility across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, and reporting covers local rankings, AI visibility, citations, knowledge panels and platform traffic.
None of this stands alone: it is part of Organic Growth, with local SEO and Google Maps work beside it and a managed website on Gold and Platinum. If you need customers while this builds, our paid ads team manages Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and Bing campaigns.
The process
We go through your business address, name and phone number and your site information across Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and the other sources AI engines look, so everything matches.
We install schema markup on your most important pages: LocalBusiness, FAQ and Review markup, so your business is described in a format machines read well.
We publish local content in a conversational tone that answers the questions people ask about what you do and where you do it.
Every month we test your visibility across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, then adjust the plan to the results. The report covers local rankings, AI visibility, citations, knowledge panels and platform traffic.
Pricing
You do not buy GEO separately, because it is included in all three Organic Growth plans below. None of the plans has a setup fee or a contract. Ask our CEO which plan fits.
Questions we hear
Pricing is flat and monthly, and GEO comes inside the Organic Growth plans instead of being priced on its own: $1,495 for Silver, $2,495 for Gold and $3,495 for Platinum. RankGuarantee™ local landing pages cost $495 a month on their own and are included in all three. Cancel anytime: there is no contract and no setup fee.
Think of SEO as winning a place in a list of links and GEO as making your details usable to engines that answer directly. The engines include Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity; the practice is also called AEO. The two share groundwork, so Organic Growth includes both.
Reviews are read as part of the picture. Because engines scan review volume and sentiment, reputation work is part of GEO, together with FAQ, LocalBusiness and Review schema. We cannot promise a mention; a healthy, current review profile simply gives engines more information.
It means your name, address, phone number and details like hours and services are identical on Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and each other source an engine might read. That is what the audit at the start of our process checks, because conflicting details make it harder for an engine to describe you correctly.
GEO is frequently framed as SEO's next step, so in our plans they are delivered together: local landing pages, technical SEO, review work and the AI-focused pieces. The Organic Growth page has the details.
The three biggest of the eleven categories in Tarrant County, by established locations, are physicians offices (792), dentists (636) and plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors (298). Measured against a typical county, the most crowded are roofing contractors (2.2x) and physicians offices (1.7x).
They are different things. GEO is unpaid work: helping engines find accurate information about your business. ChatGPT advertising is a separate, paid test: sponsored, labeled ads shown to some users on the Free and lower-priced plans, bought through a self-serve Ads Manager and targeted by country and context, not by keyword. The ads do not alter the answers, and measurement is still maturing.
According to the index, Tarrant County is more crowded than most counties: it scores 69.8, which is 233rd out of 1,822 counties of 20,000 or more people and 150th of our 400 markets. The busiest category is roofing contractors, at 2.2x a typical county. The score measures how many established competitors there are, and it cannot predict what an engine will say.
We cannot, and neither can anyone else. Our part is the groundwork that gives an engine more to go on: matching details on Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and the other listings, schema markup and local content. Because engines build trust in information gradually, any promised date would be a guess. Each month we test visibility across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews and report what we see.
